We've just been trying to get as much use out of the LNR380 we bought 6 years ago, but it appears Lorex just doesn't care anymore so we're giving up. Lorex cameras are so antiquated now by comparison to high def cloud cams with seamless app integration I dont know why anyone would still buy them. I've given up and started buying Nest cams to replace the Lorex cams. They had no clue why after trying literally everything mentioned in these threads and more. It just says "failed to connect" every time. I spent hours on the phone with Lorex tech support and they cannot get the Lorex Cloud app to connect on any of my devices, Android or iOS. Under Resolution, select the resolution you want to use to record the selected channel (camera).Nothing works for me anymore.Under Type, select Main Stream (if you wish to record a high-quality video) or Sub Stream (if you want to record lower resolution video). Now, a window will open with all the options, including Channel (camera), Type (Main or Sub Stream), Resolution, Frame Rate, among others. Click Setting > RECORDING, then click the Recording tab on the top panel. From the Live View display of your recorder, right-click to open the Quick Menu, then click Main Menu.To configure recording quality, follow these steps: Recording on Main Stream will eat up much of your system's hard drive storage recording on Sub Stream will save you some storage space. As their names denote, Main Stream records high-quality video to your system's hard drive while Sub Stream records lower resolution video, which is ideal for streaming to devices over the internet. Your Lorex security system uses two video recording streams: Main Stream and Sub Stream.
